Program Manager

Description
Manage the day-to-day operations of Women of Banglatown. This is a part-time position, 10-15 hours a week starting in January of 2019.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Support the Vision and Mission of Women of Banglatown

  • Respond to phone calls and emails from program participants, part-time staff, and contractors

  • Manage the weekly schedule in coordination with the Arts Program Coordinator

  • Coordinate donor engagement, such as outreach and recognitions

  • Coordinate transportation for youth program participants

  • Supervise and participate in weekly youth and adult programming and fundraising

  • Document participant enrollment and outcomes

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required

Required experience and qualities: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as education, social work, public health, non-profit business administration, or community development

  • Proven ability to work well with youth, families, and community leaders

  • Proven experience implementing multiple community programs

  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills

  • Live in the Metro Detroit area

  • Hold a valid US driver’s license

  • Travel to project sites in an insured personal vehicle

  • Be available during the weekend for program activities

Preferred experience and qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field, such as education, social work, public health, non-profit business administration, or community development

  • Bangla or Arabic oral and written communication skills

Grant Writer

Description
Research grant opportunities. Write, proof read, and edit grant proposals. This position begins with a 1 month trial period. The goal of this time is to pressure test the fit for a part-time position on the team. 

Qualifications
- Masters
- 3+ years experience writing grants.
- Cover letter and résumé/CV required
- Educated on art grants and communities in SE Michigan.
- Passionate about women + immigrant rights.
- Outgoing and self directed.
- Bonus: live in Hamtramck.

Artist workshop instructor

Description
We have an open call for women artists to teach two hours workshops. Artists will be given a stipend for their time, a materials budget up to $50 and have access to our art supplies. To be considered submit a brief workshop proposal and CV.
